Products that clean the environment

Fibrous media for wastewater treatment

A specific fibrous media made of bundled polyamide fibers. Microorganisms attached to it remove organic matter (e.g., BOD) and suspended solids (SS) in wastewater. Demonstration tests under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management (B-DASH Project) confirmed that its ease of transport, assembly, and dismantling enables rapid recovery of wastewater treatment functions after accidents or natural disasters. This result has been incorporated into official guidelines.

Dehydration aid

A special fiber for sludge dewatering. Its water-guiding effect significantly improves mechanical dewatering efficiency, reducing industrial waste volume by approximately 21%* and heavy oil usage, which in turn lowers CO₂ emissions by around 32%*.

A filter medium made from NANOFRONT™. The nanofibers, evenly dispersed and paper-formed in water, create a filter with very fine, uniform pore sizes. Heat bonding ensures fiber cohesion without using adhesives, resulting in a sharp pore size distribution.

A bag filter using NANOFRONT™ as the filter medium. The dense surface structure of the fiber layer enables both low pressure loss and high collection efficiency. We also offer high-strength types.

This polypropylene (PP) oil absorbent sheet is developed by Unisel (a Teijin Group company).
Thanks to a proprietary manufacturing process that forms a porous fiber structure, it offers outstanding oil absorption capabilities.

To conserve our planet’s limited resources, we will remain proactive in using raw materials from recycled sources. We will also develop materials that make use of resources available in the natural world.

Products made from recycled materials

Recycled polyester yarn, fibers, fabrics, and garments made using mechanical or chemical recycling technologies. They are regenerated from polyester waste generated during the manufacturing process or from used polyester products collected after consumer use.

Products made from plant-based raw materials

Plant-derived PET

It is a polyester fiber in which some of the components that make up PET resin are replaced with plant-based components. In terms of physical properties and quality, it is no different from fossil-based polyester.

PTT yarn with various features such as "stretch," "softness," and "shape recovery." It can upgrade products and create new products that have never existed before. Some of the polymers used in the composition are derived from plant-based materials.

Products that support cooling and contribute to energy savings

High-transparency, heat-reflective insulating film

A film that combines high transparency and excellent solar heat reflection, achieving both brightness and comfort while contributing to energy savings.

Thermal barrier solvent paint

It composed of two component curing that combines acrylic silicone resin with special fine ceramics. It reflects heat in the near-infrared range effectively, suppressing temperature increases on the painted surface and heat penetration into the interior. And also it achieves high surface stiffness and smoothness to create a glossy painted exterior and can be applied to truck cabins, mixer truck drums, playground equipment, and various industrial products.

Cotton-type Awning fabric

This cotton awning fabric is made with dope-dyed yarn*, which ensures long-lasting, beautiful colors that are resistant to fading. It creates a luxurious and stylish atmosphere for stores and houses. The fabric also features flame retardancy and an initial water resistance of 1000mm.

  • *Dyed yarn… Yarn that is colored by mixing pigment directly into the raw material. Compared to dyeing the yarn or fabric afterward, it is characterized by less fading.

Polyester material that exhibits heat-shielding effects.

This material uses polyester fibers that contain special metal oxides which are harmless to the human body. It reflects the sun's heat and exhibits a heat-shielding effect that suppresses the rise in indoor (or clothing) temperature.
Main applications: curtains, fashion clothing.

This thread has a highly hollow structure to trap a large amount of air in the fiber itself by virtue of its large hollow space. The hollowness has been created to the extreme so that it can hold a large amount of air to make it a light weight and comfortable polyester material.
