By modifying the fibers, many hydrophilic groups have been introduced, greatly enhancing their moisture absorption capacity. Furthermore, when the surrounding environment is dry, the fibers tend to release their retained moisture outward. In response to environmental changes, they repeatedly absorb and release moisture.

After conditioning the test specimen (10 cm × 10 cm) within the initial conditioning chamber maintained at 25 °C and 40% RH, the specimen is transferred to the moisture-absorption chamber (25 °C, 80% RH) to initiate the absorption process. Upon reaching equilibrium, the specimen is returned to the initial conditioning chamber to commence desorption, and the measurement concludes once equilibrium is attained again. Throughout the entire procedure, the mass of the specimen is recorded at one-second intervals, and the moisture uptake per gram of the sample is subsequently calculated.

It possesses deodorizing effects against substances such as acetic acid and ammonia.
Moreover, it acts quickly to deliver these effects.

Test Method:
Testing was conducted in accordance with the SEK-mark fiber product certification standards established by the Japan Textile Evaluation Technology Council, using the gas detection tube method.
Data Acquisition:
In addition to the data required by the standard at two hours after the start of the test, measurements were also taken at the 10-minute mark.
